Two of nature’s most delightful gifts – cinnamon and maple – come together to create a culinary masterpiece: Cinnamon Maple Sugar. This blend encapsulates the sweetness of maple trees with the warm embrace of two unique varieties of spicy cinnamon, offering an unparalleled sensory delight. The Spice House recommends:

  • Sprinkle over an ice cream sundae.
  • Add this to cream cheese frosting to coat a carrot cake.
  • Use this for the BEST baked apples, with butter and pecans.
  • Liven up a fresh fruit and yogurt parfait.

Thanksgiving Dishes To Try

Hi Friends! Thanksgiving is just a week away. Are you planning your meal and making your shopping list? I am. I went away for a long weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary, then came home and got sick. I am behind in getting this post out.
Here are some wonderful recipes I came across. Enjoy.

Here is a recipe from Paula Deen, Broccoli Casserole. A perfect side dish to add to your Thanksgiving meal.

Here is a classic, Watergate Salad. Made from pistachio-flavored instant pudding mix, canned pineapples, whipped cream, mini marshmallows, and toasted nuts, the recipe for this American potluck classic traces its roots back to the mid-1970s when Jell-O first debuted its line of pistachio pudding mix. Today, you’ll find the Watergate Salad served as dessert or a sweet side dish on holiday tables across the South.

Whether you consider it a side dish or a dessert, it’s just not Thanksgiving without at least one bowl of fluff on the menu. Both kids and adults will love it for its bright pink color and fluffy texture. Cranberry Fluff Salad.

When there’s a gravy boat on the table. Southerners believe it should be filled with giblet gravy. It’s best when made the same day the turkey is cooked. Giblet Gravy recipe.

Classic Cornbread Dressing. A great Southern-style dressing starts with cornbread that’s baked in a skillet for a crisp, golden crust. Our simple recipe can be made up to a month ahead if stored in the freezer. For best results, prepare the cornbread up to two days in advance so it can dry out completely.

Sweet Potato Soufflé. There are only a few side dishes that will determine whether or not a Thanksgiving meal is a success—sweet potato soufflé is on that list.

Sweet potato soufflé is light and fluffy, a comforting alternative to sweet potato casseroles loaded down with toppings like cereal, marshmallows, and nuts. This one keeps things simple with a pecan-brown sugar streusel.

How about breakfast? Pumpkin French Toast Casserole from Princess Pinky Girl. Pumpkin French Toast Casserole melds the warmth of pumpkin spice with the comfort of French toast. Simple to prepare, it’s an ideal choice for both weekday breakfasts and holiday brunches.

Brussels Sprouts with Pancetta and Walnuts. This was a favorite at Thanksgiving it ROCKED!!! You can also cook them in an Instant Pot for 1 minute using the pressure cooker button. Recipe by Anne Burrell.

Instant Pot Pumpkin Cheese Cake. Perfect dessert and quick and easy using your Instant Pot. Gingersnap cookie crust gives it an extra special twist on the flavor as does the cinnamon cool whip.

Cinnamon Whipped Cream. A sprinkle of ground cinnamon is all it takes to turn a bowl of plain whipped cream into something special. A hint of this spice won’t overpower the delicate flavor of the vanilla-spiked cream, but gives it a little extra warmth that pairs well with many types of sweets.

Last but not least, my favorite Crockpot Cranberry Sauce, and it can be made ahead of time. It wouldn’t be the holiday dinner without cranberry sauce. This recipe frees up your time because it is cooked in a slow-cooker. The sweet-tart taste you love and expect from the fresh and dried cranberries make a deeper complex cranberry sauce flavor.

Wishing you and your family a blessed Thanksgiving
